1、承办国内学术会议
2018年4月，与美国船级社联合举办主办2018年船舶管理新技术论坛（2018 SMU-ABS Joint Seminar）。来自美国船级社（华东地区）、航运企业、造船企业、船东代表、船舶管理公司等36家单位共60余人参加了本次论坛。与会代表就港口国监督（PSC）、船舶压载水管理（BWM）、船舶排放控制、船舶低硫油的使用与管理、船舶轮机节能与减排等领域新动态新技术展开主题报告和研讨。胡勤友教授和魏海军教授分别就“数据驱动的船舶航行预警技术”和“船舶油料的使用与管理”发表主题演讲，受到与会代表的热烈反响。
2018年7月，在上海国际会议中心举办全球绿色航运论坛暨庆祝国际海事组织成立70周年活动。来自世界各国的百余名国际海事专家齐聚上海，共商应对航运业现在及未来挑战的策略，助力全球绿色航运发展。金永兴书记、联合国国际海事组织（IMO）秘书长林基泽、国际海事组织理事会主席、中国交通运输部国际合作司副司长张晓杰等分别在庆典活动上致辞。庆典活动后，举行了“节能环保与航运的可持续发展”专题讨论。与会嘉宾还参观了亚洲海事技术合作中心，并听取中心一年来的工作汇报。
